Sarah is a vibrant, young woman with dreams of saving the world one person at a time. She joins a special team searching through the streets of the latest Superbowl city. Armed with missing children flyers, their goal is to find and recover young girls forced to join “the circuit”.

Tony is an undercover detective whose mission is to find out who is running “the circuit”. He is fascinated by Sarah as a

woman but he can’t break his cover. Even if he could tell her, would she understand the things he’s had to do in order to get the job done?

What happens when Sarah finds herself about to be put on “the circuit” to keep her quiet? Will Tony save the one he has feelings for and blow his cover, or will he finish the job he started to save the many and risk Sarah in the process?

Breaking To Brave
Music by: Joanna Doak
Lyrics by: Joanna Doak

Once upon a time there lived...

a little girl,

an old woman,

two sisters,

a queen.

Their stories have been all but forgotten, but they leave a legacy of freedom for us...IF we choose to listen.

Breaking to Brave was a musical presented by ChameleonJo Productions about strong women of long ago. Breaking to Brave was performed May 2013 at the ABW women's convention in Moncton, NB;  June 2013 in Fredericton, NB; and August 2014 at Oasis in Moncton, NB.

Reduce their lives to simple stories or dare to live their legacy...the choice is yours.

The Story Tree
Music by: Joanna Doak
Lyrics by: Joanna Doak
Storybook by: Joanna Doak
Paintings by: Anna Grove

"Everybody is special!" the Little Tree insisted.  "That's what you taught me.  You are a great story!"

Every living thing has a story to tell about its Creator.  Some stories appear to be shouted from the mountaintop so everyone can hear while others are whispered across the desert and you have to listen carefully to hear them.

You are the story, a reflection of your Creator.  Your life is a masterpiece of God's creativity.

The Story Tree was performed in May 2012 at the ABW women's convention in Moncton, NB; in July 2012 and June 2013 in Fredericton, NB.

Songs For A New World
Music by: Jason Robert Brown
Lyrics by: Jason Robert Brown

Jason Robert Brown says that Songs For A New World is "about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back." All the characters in the show are facing major life changes. Some are due to circumstances beyond their control. Others are dealing with the consequences of decisions they made.

Each number introduced new characters at one of life's crossroads; a young girl dicovering she's pregnant, a rich socialite looking back on life, a couple finding their way back to each other, another couple on the eve of their wedding day, a young man determined not to let his environment determine his dreams, people pleading for food to feed their families, and many more.

They challenged audiences to "listen to the words in my heart, listen to the hope I can bring, listen to the song that I sing, and trust me... we'll be fine."

Songs For A New World was performed March 2012 in Fredericton, NB.

Cup of Jo Cafe
Conceived and directed by: Joanna Doak

Cup of Jo Cafe was performed in May 2011. It was a great privilege to work with this cast and crew to bring the Cup of Jo Cafe to life. We focused on learning difficult harmonies and very challenging music, as well as, creating characters.

Each cast member created his/her own character within the framework of a cafe where teens hang out. They chose the names of their characters, their costumes and their favourite drink in the cafe. Together they wrote the conversations that take place in the larger storyline I outlined for them.

The cup of jo cafe was designed to be a safe place for teens to hang out.  Jo, the cafe owner, opens her heart to the young people with the hope of helping them to find the courage to love unconditionally and overcome the trials they face in the world today.

Godspell
Music by: Steven Schwartz
Lyrics by: Steven Schwartz
         Episopal Hymns
             Others

Godspell is a modern retelling of the life of Christ. About 95% of the lines spoken in the musical are word for word from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.

Jesus comes and calls the people to follow him. As a symbol of the characters in the musical following him, we have chosen for them to recieve shoes from him, when they decided to become His deciples.

Jesus began teaching his deciples. The teachings come from teh Sermon on teh Mount and the Parables, which are brought to life by the disciples.

In Act II, we see that Jesus was confronted by the Pharisees, Sadduces, and teachers of the law. He was tempted, betrayed, arrested, and crucified.

This is not the end of the story, however; it is only the beginning. Jesus Christ, God's Son, is our Saviour through His ressurection. Death could not hold Him down and we are offered eternal life.

Godspell was performed in June and August 2009 in Fredericton, NB; as well as in Dartmouth, NS in September 2009.
