Joanna Doak is the founder and artistic director of Chameleon Jo Productions. Her goal is to empower young people by developing their skills in the creative arts. Jo's unique approach involves building community among her actors that extends beyond the stage as they "experience someone else's feelings and feel someone else's experiences." For 25 years, Jo has trained, counseled, and educated children and young adults in a variety of professional and volunteer settings. Jo has performed internationally on three continents and in two cross-Canada tours. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Fine Arts, Jo also earned a Masters of Divinity from Acadia University. She has studied Creative Arts Facilitation at the Tatamagouche Center and she participated in the first Canadian Director's Lab in Toronto in 2011.
